Clean Air Act More Effective Than Bush's Clear Skies

Report by the National Academy of Sciences claims that the Bush administration's "Clear Skies Initiative -- a proposed reform of current air-quality standards -- will be less effective than the existing Clean Air Act.

"The Bush administration's bill to curb air pollution from power plants would reduce air pollution less than the current Clean Air Act rules, according to a preliminary report by the National Academy of Sciences released yesterday."
