The Rise Of 'Modernist' New Urbanism In Miami

A new development in Miami successfully combines Modernist architecture with New Urbanism.
Aqua, a 151-unit development, sits on a a Miami island. Its developer, Craig Robins, had a rare vision to combine elegantly simple Modernist architecture - often criticized for not paying enough attention to the surrounding context - and New Urbanism - often assumed to be compatible only with "traditional" pre-war architecture.
