Metro Atlanta's suburban cities rediscover importance of central gathering places in an effort to slow sprawl to a crawl.
Snellville, Norcross, Duluth, Lilburn and Sugar Hill are among the communities in various stages of renewing their town centers or, in some cases, manufacturing new ones. Even density is not quite the dirty word it once was, as developers build homes and townhomes near these incipient hubs.
