Gridlock in Folsom
4 August 2000 - 12:00pm
A much-needed bridge is being held hostage to politics, causing traffic atop Fulsom dam to slow to a craw.
n 1980, about 700,000 vehicles traveled on two-lane road atop Folsom Dam. This year, about 6 million vehicles will try to squeeze across that vital link for commuters going to and from Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Granite Bay and Roseville. It is fast becoming a traffic bottleneck.

It's all too easy for projects to claim that they will be successful places, and all too hard to tell ahead of time which ones actually will.
