Innovative Affordable Architecture

With an architectural competition, the City of Montreal challenged the construction industry to design innovative, affordable residential solutions.
"Good architecture should not be a luxury only for the rich. If that is what it has become, it is only because of the laziness of developers and architects themselves...This project is the result of a call for proposals launched by the city in May 2004, which challenged the construction industry to design innovative residential solutions for households wanting to own a home in the city. Eleven promoter-architect teamsa record numbersubmitted proposals."
