College, City Team Up To Build Affordable Homes
12 December 2004 - 5:00am
St. Cloud, MN, finds the right mix of student skills and city vision to breathe life into an older neighborhood.
An abandonded warehouse will be replaced by an anchoring infill of homes. Newly built, craftsman style houses will be selling at a reasonable price in this Minnesota college town because of a collaboration between the city and it's technical college. Construction students are learning through building the houses with materials city funds help purchase.
