LA's Chinatown May Benefit From BID
2 August 2000 - 11:30am
Plan to create a business improvement district and revitalize Chinatown is expected to pass.
If the BID plan for Chinatown passes on August 15th, it would be the first effort of its kind in a Chinese ethnic neighborhood in the US. Chinatown is living through hard times and many in the community feel that something needs to be done. There remain neighborhood conflits over the future of the Cornfield parcel north of Chinatown.
