Study Highlights Benefits of Compact Growth

A new Georgia Tech study suggests that smart growth reduces car trips and improves air quality.
"The study further validates the push by metro Atlanta planners to encourage mixed-use development near transportation hubs as a way to solve the region's air quality woes. The analysis uses data from the land-use and travel behavior study of metro Atlanta called SMARTRAQ."
