The Slatin Report looks as executive compensation in the real estate and construction industries.
"Real estate values are rising far and wide, but why isn't real estate compensation booming too?... Executive compensation in real estate and construction rose modestly in 2003, increasing a median 4.3%, according to the annual survey published by Specialty Consultants Inc."
What's a typical salary? The Executive Compensation Report is also available, and reports that a Vice President of Real Estate for a corporate real estate firm typically makes $149,000 per year, plus $76,000 in incentives.
