Recognition At Last For Transylvanian Heritage

Proposals to list the city of Sibiu/Hermannstadt draw attention to other threats to the heritage of the area

The Municipality of Sibiu - one of the finest mediaeval cities in Romania and one of the best preserved in Europe - has managed to lead the Romanian government to seek UNESCO World Heritage listing for the city. A conference in November will draw attention to the issue.
