The Right Track For Arizona

Arizona's Proposition 400 will be decided by voters in November.
"Proposition 400, the 20-year sales-tax extension for regional transportation programs, will be decided by voters in the Nov. 2 election.
Valley mayors and businesses have lined up behind the regional plan that would generate $9 billion to fund freeways and supply $2.7 billion for a regional bus system.
Another $2.3 billionwould go toward light-rail expansion.
If the countywide tax, first approved in 1985 for freeway construction, is not extended, it will expire Dec. 31, 2005."
