California's most powerful business interests including members from manufacturing and petroleum industrieshave formed a coalition to oppose EPA efforts to impose stricter water-pollution limits.
California's most powerful business interests including members from manufacturing and petroleum industrieshave formed a coalition this spring. The aim of the coalition -- called the Alliance For Water Quality -- is to oppose U.S. Environmental Protection Agency efforts to impose stricter water-pollution limits by launching a lobbying and public-relations blitz to persuade Gov. Gray Davis to stand up to federal environmental regulators, a newspaper reported.
