Gentrification: Comparing D.C. And Milwaukee

How does gentrification in MIlwaukee differ from that in Washington D.C.?
"Washington's suburbs are shouldering more of the metro area's needy than are Milwaukee's suburbs. At the same time, the district is attracting more of the area's wealthy than is Beer Town...Milwaukee faces a more awesome task than does D.C. First, Milwaukee must attract much more of the area's wealth than it now does. Fueled by young urban professionals and retirees, a back-to-the-city movement is under way here - a movement that needs fanning.
