Legislators Urged To Fund Transit, Highway Needs

With population in the Salt Lake metro area expected to grow by an additional 1 million by 2030, build-out of the MPO's 2030 transportation plan is sorely needed.
Utah's economy will be "crippled" unless taxes are raised for transportation - and a 30-year plan for construction of new transit and highways is expedited."We cannot wait until 2030 to construct new transportation systems," says the President of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce.
