Anticipating the next economic boom, San Jose, CA, embraces New Urbanism for Coyote Valley plan.
It would be a radical break from the suburban sprawl San Jose is known for -- a dense community with high-rise housing and condos, where people could hop on a trolley to go to work, walk just a few blocks to the neighborhood park, or go jogging through miles of open space with stunning rolling hills and mountain always in view...Anticipating the next economic boom, San Jose officials hope to have a land-use plan in place that will produce a unique, livable community unlike anywhere in San Jose.
