Transit Planners Introduce Design Guidelines

Transit Agency promotes transit-friendly design standards in rapidly growing L.A. - San Diego suburban area.
A local transit agency serving 16 jurisdictions has adopted a proactive approach, advising local planners and developers to include "consistent, transit-friendly design standards" and infrastructure such as bus turnouts, convenient pedestrian access to the bus from homes and businesses and the establishment of new transit centers. The new standards may be viewed on the RTA website and/or downloaded as a pdf file.
