The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee passed and sent to the Senate floor the Conservation and Reinvestment Act (CARA) by a 13-7 bipartisan vote on Tuesday, July 25.
The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee passed and sent to theSenate floor the Conservation and Reinvestment Act (CARA) by a 13-7bipartisan vote on Tuesday, July 25. The vote was a bipartisan effort tosecure $2.99 billion in annual funding for parks, recreation, wildlife,and historic preservation, among other conservation programs. CommitteeChairman Frank H. Murkowski called it "the most significant commitmentof resources ever made to conservation by the Congress."
