Jane Jacobs Reading Group proposes mixed-use redevelopment for former Southern Pacific rail yards.
A Sacramento group has proposed a redevelopment plan for the downtown rail yards based on Jane Jacobs' book The Death and Life of Great American Cities. The plan combines mixed uses, short blocks, building-stock diversity & a dense population to create new urban space.
