Town Welcomes Super Walmart

Small NC town changes zoning ordinance to accomodate Walmart.

While other communities across the country are turning down or restricting new "big box" stores, one small town is opening its arms to such development. Mocksville, NC has gone so far as to adopt changes to it's zoning ordinance suggested by the developers of a Walmart supercenter.

So, in this context, what if the post-war suburban growth had not happened the way it did? What if the returning GIs had married, yes, but had continued to live in densely populated cities?
