Some are questioning county's permit process after old Montecito home was partially demolished
During hearings before the Montecito Association's architectural review committee and the county's Board of Architectural Review, the historical significance of a stately, 83-year-old house in Montecitohome -- with its stone columns, sandstone archways and sweeping ocean views -- was never considered. Residents are now questioning the County's policy on historical preservation.
