Funders' Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities releases commissioned paper.

Paper provides an overview of the relationship between energy consumption and development patterns. It concludes that design and location are key factors determining energy consumption in urban development. The collaboration of the energy conservation and smart growth movements is encouraged.
