Vintage Trolley Cars Get New Lease On Life

A Pennsylvania company specialized in rebuilding 1940s-era streetcars is finding that cities, and commuters, love a trolley.
Despite a slow progress away from streetcars, many cities in America are now embracing vintage trolleys as the solution to their mass transportation problem. Rebuilt with retro lines and modern amenities, these new cars are a hit in cities like Philadelphia and New Orleans. More puzzling is the popularity of the streetcar: "People will ride streetcars who won't ride the bus..."
