Indianapolis' 2020 Regional Plan

Indianapolis releases it's new regional plan, "Building a World-Class Downtown: Indianapolis Regional Center Plan 2020."

"This plan is in the grand tradition of Indianapolis urban planning that literally begins at the beginning. The 1820 city plan of Alexander Ralston imposed an orderly grid of streets accented by four strong diagonals focused on a central circle. The plan offered predictability with enough variety to fight monotony, and broad streets to serve as visual corridors giving the citizenry a strong sense of the whole."
