Europeans Share Cars, Save Money

Rather than own a car they barely use, many Europeans are forming joint-use car clubs to ease the hassle of city life without a loss of independence.
Following Switzerland's lead, organized car sharing schemes are sweeping the Continent, finding a following with city-dwellers put-off by the high cost of automobile ownership. The community-based approach to private transportation could augment mass transit and ease traffic issues in large cities.
