Baltimore's Walking Commuters

Walking to work has become an increasingly popular urban phenomenon for 7% of Baltimore's commuters.
"In these days of growing gridlock and sky-high gas prices, nearly 18,000 Baltimore workers travel to their jobs each day the old-fashioned way: They walk... That's far more than in any other jurisdiction in the state, according to the U.S. Census Bureau - making walking to work a distinctly, if not uniquely, urban phenomenon... In Philadelphia, 9.1 percent of workers walk to their jobs; in Washington, 11.8 percent; and in Boston, 13 percent."
