Lower Your Water Bill, Stop Storm Water Erosion

An urban soil conservationist builds a backyard pond to stop his storm water erosion; now a local developer is interested in the idea.
Ray Goodwin, a Kansas City urban soil conservationist, had to fight soil erosion from storm water in his own backyard. So he built a pond and now uses the storm water to water his lawn, which keeps his water bills around $30 in the summer, compared to his neighbors' $100+ water bills. A local developer has studied Goodwin's pond for ideas for a system in a new development.
