In-town Bike Facilities Increasing

Cities in the Salt Lake Valley are gradually improving their road bike network to match the excellent off-road options
The mountains and deserts of Utah are world renowned for their breathtaking biking trails. The cities, however, are struggling to catch up. The communities in the Salt Lake Valley all have plans to improve bike facilities, with Salt Lake City leading the way. Goals are to provide bike lanes on major routes, build off-road paths to in-town locations, and connect various city and nature trails into one continuous network. The Utah Department of Transportation is also including cycling elements into current and future environmental impact studies.
