13 April 2004 - 8:00am
Partners for Livable Communities releases a list of livable places for the decade.
"The Partners list recognizes communities that have done the best job of adapting to changing times. It tries to reflect the latest thinking among urban planners, researchers and mayors." Common attributes for the winners include strong civic participation, a dramatic turnaround and good design. According to the Partners for Livable Communities, winners are also places, big and small, that express regionalism and "embody the creative economy." [Editor's note: Article includes a link to the list of winners.]
