Which Do You Prefer: Robert Moses or Jane Jacobs?

The Charlotte Observer offers a list of questions they want the city's next planning director to answer.
"The new director will replace Martin Cramton, who retired last year after 24 years in the job. During those years Charlotte's growth boomed, uptown revitalized, some major business corridors deteriorated while others underwent a renaissance." The questions the Charlotte Observer would ask are good for any job interview: "Name your favorite urban designer in America today. What do you like about his or her work?", "What's wrong with zoning in America in 2004? What's right?", "Which do you prefer: Robert Moses or Jane Jacobs?"
