Zoning changes welcome domestic chickens in single family neighborhoods.
The Madison, WI Plan Commission approved a change to the city's zoning ordinance that will allow outdoor chicken coops as accessories to single family units. According to one supporter, "This is a victory for raising chickens for fun and for pleasure." Other cities across the U.S. are considering similar measures.
