The Haddonfield business district is an example of how aggressive downtown revitalization efforts can pay off.
"Two years ago, the signs of decline seemed clear. Despite its historic charm, the business district along Kings Highway was attracting fewer shoppers... Quick action was needed to breathe new life into the downtown. Borough officials formed a task force and began plotting strategies with merchants and residents. They hired a consulting firm to analyze the town's needs and employed a retail coordinator to help recruit businesses."
