Shortages of Project Managers

The demand for project managers in Australia means that they are well paid and the industry is coming up with creative techniques of filling the shortfalls.
"Hot" commercial, residential and infrastructure markets have resulted in a shortage of project managers in Australia, with tradespeople also tipped to be in greater demand in the medium term. This is resulting in higher wages on offer for project managers flowing on to increases in overall project costs. Companies are also dealing with the shortfall by recruiting internationally, headhunting locally, seconding from competitors and running double shifts.
