Among the top five stories in APA's top 25 list: The nuclear meltdown at Three Mile Island (1979); Sagebrush Rebels (1980); UNESCO's desigation of World Heritage Cities (1982); The worst U.S. banking crisis since the Great Depression (1982); and the first National Forum on Biodiversity (1986).
