Encouraging Young People To Think About Their Built Environment

British 'Spacemakers' project offers a thought-provoking approach to inclusive urban planning and design practices.
The team organisers collaborate with young people through a series of practical workshops, with the aim of developing a community project site. Another project was aimed at creating a teaching guide to integrate architecture and the built environment in the national curriculum. These projects demonstrated "approaches that are positively engaging young people not only in thinking about their built environment, but also actively supporting them in changing it."
