Car-Sharing Has Rolled Into San Francisco

Mayor Gavin Newsom wants San Francisco to become the nation's car-sharing capital.
By 2006, the vast majority of San Francisco residents may be renting fuel-efficient cars from a fleet owned by City CarShare. At least, that is the goal of the city's mayor. Urban dwellers are welcoming the cost-effective tradeoff between owning and maintaining a car or simply having access to one on demand.
