Placer "Legacy" Open Space Plan

A Placer County plan to conserve open space through a quarter-cent sales tax increase has been approved for the November ballot.
The Sacramento Bee comes out in favor of the "Placer Legacy" plan, which lets citizens put the beliefs to the economic test. The Placer County Board of Supervisors approved putting the plan on the November ballot. The sales tax increase is the cornerstone of the plan, which could preserve as much as 75,000 acres of the county.
