E-Government & Planning Profiles: Public Participation Tools

Web-based tools to facilitate communication, data sharing, analysis, and public input in the planning process will be pervasive in planning within the next several years.

It provides a variety of tools including: a document management system; interactive mapping with GIS data; a discussion manager; private, group, and public calendaring; and search capabilities... One of the first uses for this software is for the Napa County League of Governments as members work together to create a Countywide Community Development Strategy."
