New Urban Neighborhoods Make Big Gains

New Urban News year-end survey finds 37 percent annual growth in new urban planning and construction.
"New Urban News's latest benchmark survey, completed in December, found 648 neighborhood-scale new urban communities -- an increase of 176 from the year before, when 472 projects were identified... Of the 648 new urban communities across the country, 369 are built or under construction, while the other 279 are in planning, entitlement, financing, or other phases prior to breaking ground. Nearly 40 of these are expected to break ground in the next six months."
