There Goes the Dot-Com Neighborhood

The dot-com invasion of the Mission district in San Francisco has inspired a guerrilla response from area artists and even some dot-commers themselves.
An influx of dot-com employees, wealth, and rapidly-rising rents has created much resentment in the Mission District, a predominantly Latin American working-class neighborhood. From outright vandalism to anti dot-com ads, this gives gentrification a whole new meaning.
