OC Toll Road Plan Vetoed
7 July 2000 - 11:15am
Governor Davis vetoed a $5-million plan to study an 11-mile toll road along Orange County's Santa Ana River.
"Central Orange County has freeways, factories, pollution and congestion -- and now you want to build more highways?" said Assemblyman Lou Correa, D-Anaheim, who asked Davis to eliminate the money. At issue is whether the toll road should be funded with public or private funds.
