Five teams make a short list for Los Angeles' high-profile and ambitious Grand Avenue makeover.
"Los Angeles has taken the next step in its quest to re-energize its downtown, making it not simply a viable city center but also a desirable business and cultural destination. The Grand Avenue Authority, a city-county body, short-listed five teams to vie for development rights to a 3.2 million-square-foot project on Grand Avenue, a major gateway to downtown and now the home of the new Cathedral of Los Angeles and Disney Concert Hall."
