Architect Wins Ground Zero Memorial Design Competition

Architect Michael Arad's design was selected from more than 5,000 entries in an international design competition.
"Reflecting Absence has two sunken shallow pools at its centre and will occupy the site of the World Trade Center's twin towers in New York.The names of the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington will be carved on a low wall around the pools. Victims' families have reacted coolly to the winning design. "
