From the Mini Cooper to even smaller BMWs, automakers are finding a market in small cars. The WSJ reviews the top contenders.

Cheap little cars appeal to young buyers, and with more boomers' kids now hitting dealerships, companies want to lock them in for life... And it doesn't hurt that selling fuel-efficient models like these helps manufacturers to meet the government's overall mileage targets -- freeing them to sell still more high-profit SUVs."
