Urban Industrial Use Makes A Comeback

The Central Eastside area of Portland is seeing a resurgence of updated industrial uses.
"Central Eastside is doing what some might consider unthinkable in the city's era of gentrification: remaining viable by staying true to its industrial roots." As one developer put it:" 'Industry in the inner city has changed....The industry of the 21st century...is more an office-space industry: film, intellectual property, graphic design, architecture, industrial design, software development."
