CarShare Program Partners With Housing Developers

City CarShare, a non-profit in San Francisco, has partnered with affordable housing developers to coordinate parking with housing.
Parking spaces for City CarShare cars have been included for the first time in a new development in San Francisco. The experiment has proven successful, as a car at the downtown location has already been used an average of eight hours a day. The city's Planning Department is now requiring developers who want to add parking to their projects to make spots available for car-sharing providers.
