Mixed-Use is Not Black and White

Officials, designers and members of the community in Peace Dale, RI are considering the best mixture of uses for the mixed-use revitalization of an old mill.
In considering future uses for the old Palisades Mill, the town planning director for Peace Dale says that '"a mixture or a balance is what's important at this site.' " Although some parts of the community are divided on future residential uses of the mill, the planning for the site has "left the black-and-white realm and are now into the shades of gray in terms of use...."
