Caltrans Faces $15,000 Fine

The California Department of Transportation could face up to$15,000 in fines for alleged water quality violations.
The California Department of Transportation is responsiblefor treating stormwater runoff from highways. The Lahontan Regional WaterQuality Control Board says Caltrans violated water qualitylimits on the south shore of Lake Tahoe. Caltrans could face up to$15,000 in fines for these alleged water quality violations.
