Ferry Snapped Up On EBay

After just three days on eBay, the Washington passenger ferry Tyee was sold to a boat broker in Florida for $560,000.
"The state wanted a minimum bid of $500,000, but said anyone who bid $560,000 could have the boat and end the auction... 'Clearly this is something that worked for us,' said Washington State Ferries spokeswoman Pat Patterson. 'I'm surprised how quickly it sold.' "
