High Density Approved For Jersey City

Liberty Harbor North, a high-density, new urban waterfront development, receives unanimous approval from the city planning board.
"Touted as 'one hell of a project' and one of the best in the state, the Liberty Harbor North development plan is one step closer to dramatically transforming 80 acres of waterfront land in Jersey City. ... Speck called the project a 'demonstration of the new urbanism,' blending aspects of the traditional urban landscape - dense, mixed use, pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods with access to mass transit - with modern needs, particularly the need for the automobile."
