San Jose Funding for Affordable Housing

San Jose City Council approved $150 million funding for 2,056 new affordable homes.
In response to skyrocketing demand, the San Jose City Council unanimously approved$150 million to fund 2,056 new affordable homes.Officials estimate 20,000 to 30,000 households in the city at risk of becoming homeless due to high housing cost.A consortium of housing advocates recommended that the city increase its commitment toaddressing housing problems with more shelters, rentalsubsidies and transitional housing.
